Three years after the zombie virus has gutted the country, a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood. I have watched the walking dead series and I really enjoyed it immensely.

I watched this, with the false and (I admit it) a somewhat biased opinion, thinking it wouldn't and couldn't, possibly compare.

I was wrong. What a great load of fun to watch. I actually liked the depth of some of the characters, but not all. This is what made this show great. 10K the Doc and Murphy were absolutely great characters, but some I liked and hated, then liked again along the way.

Good stuff deserves to be appreciated, this by me anyway, definitely was. I find most of the Zombie shows to be too serious. Too maudlin. Then Z- Nation came along. Finally, a show that doesn't take itself so serious. It's just fun. I eagerly watched all of it. It had jokes like BTVS had. A moment of seriousness followed by a joke or even two jokes. BTVS was my fav. So was Z-nation seasons 1-3.

But apparently there is a sector of TV viewers which dominate the ratings. They want maudlin. They want serious. They hate jokes. They hate fun. So I guess Z-nations ratings weren't as high as that show filmed in my neighborhood. Apparently the producers of Z-Nationdidn't want a niche show to keep a fun loving audience entertained and decided to change the show for season 4, drop the jokes, drop the fun, and just make it depressing, and no fun. Well I hope the fans of the show made in my neighborhood will like it. But they are generally the type that don't forgive a show if it's ever been fun even for a moment. And Z-nation seasons 1-3 were great fun.

Who knows, maybe as season 4 progresses they will find their funny bone. Maybe they will stop distressing Addy's pretty face. If not then I recommend to fun loving TV viewers just watch Seasons 1-3 as some of the most fun on TV.

-Senoia, GA
